Summer is near and with that big trip to the California’s Central Coast only days away, you have to know what to pack. Here’s a quick checklist that you can print out to help you pack for your trip to Wine Coast Country.
√ Sunscreen. It’s sunny here all summer. Sure in the coastal areas there will likely be some overcast clouds in the morning, but those quickly burn off. It doesn’t necessarily get super hot, but don’t let the cool to warm temperatures fool you. You’ll need the SPF.
√ Sunglasses. If you plan on doing anything outside, like hiking, biking, taking farm tours or just hanging out at the beach, you’ll want a pair of shades. Not only do they make you look cool, but they’ll shade your eyes from the bright sun.
√ Sturdy shoes and comfy sandals. Chances are, if you’re staying in Wine Coast Country this summer, you’re going to do some walking around. For long walks or tours of Hearst Castle, pack some sturdy shoes that you can stand in for a while. But it will also be warm, so bring a pair of comfy sandals for some leisure time.
√ A nice outfit. There are TONS of events happening this summer, and you’ll want to pack at least one nice outfit that you can wear. This doesn’t have to be completely formal, but something semi-casual would be a good idea.
√ A camera. There are so many photo ops here – from Morro Rock to Hearst Castle, from the lighthouse in Avila Beach to the Mission de Tolosa in San Luis Obispo. So remember your camera (and its charger).
√ A warm sweater or jacket. Yes, it’s summer and that means warm days in Wine Coast Country. But the nights are often cool and breezy. It’s a good idea to bring a sweater or light jacket on your trip, just to be on the safe side.
